Chiropractic helps relieve pain associated with several conditions which can be divided into three categories: common musculoskeletal conditions, non-musculoskeletal conditions, and common injuries. By restoring the structure and function of the spine to its normal and healthy state, you can expect improved alleviation of these symptoms.
What is Chiropractic?
More than 15 million North Americans each year choose chiropractic care as a natural, effective method to relieve their acute and chronic pain.
The primary work of chiropractors involves performing slight adjustments, or manipulations, to the spinal column and other joints in order to correct alignment problems that are causing pain and decreased mobility.
By re-aligning these structures, chiropractors work to help improve the quality of your life by supporting your body’s own natural ability to heal.
Unlike other types of doctors, chiropractic doctors do not prescribe drugs or do surgical procedures, though when medically necessary, we refer patients to trusted, professional providers of such services.
Some benefits of seeking chiropractic with a qualified, certified professional include reduced pain, enhanced function, replenished energy, and overall better health.

Nerve Conduction Velocity (NCV) & Electromyography (EMG) Testing
One of the ways in which our chiropractic team works to relieve pain and increase quality of life for our patients is by ensuring that their nerves and muscles are in good working order.
A damaged nerve can cause a tingling sensation, numbness, and pain in the affected area. The NCV test measures how quickly an electrical impulse (given via safe external nerve stimulation) moves through your nerve, while the EMG test measures electrical activity happening in your muscles. While there will likely be mild discomfort, neither of these tests should be painful.
These two tests are often done in conjunction, as both help to identify the exact location and severity of nerve damage in an affected area.
If you suffer with pain associated with a herniated disk, sciatica, Carpal tunnel syndrome, Guillain-Barré syndrome, or have chronic inflammatory polyneuropathy and/or neuropathy, our team may use these tests, alongside other therapy techniques, to ensure healthy nerve and muscle function.
Graston Therapy Technique
Aside from traditional manual therapy, our chiropractic team also uses a unique set of tools and techniques in what is known as the Graston Therapy Technique. This unique system employs the use of expertly designed stainless steel therapy tools which have special treatment edges and angles meant to help relieve your chronic, acute, or post-surgical soft tissue ailments caused by tense scar tissue.
The Activator Method® uses a particular instrument to safely deliver a targeted force to a patient’s spine or extremities.
Combination therapy uses two modalities—ultrasound and electrode therapies—simultaneously to optimize the therapeutic effect of the treatment. The treatment is performed using a single device that delivers an ultrasound tone, simultaneous to an electrical stimulation. The combination of the electrical stimulation with ultrasound is thought to reduce pain, while stimulating tissue healing and repair.Request an Appointment
